Red Bull BC One Crowns U.S. Champions: Logistx and Hijack Headed to Tokyo World Final

On Sunday, May 18, Denver’s Mission Ballroom pulsed with raw energy as the 2025 Red Bull BC One Cypher USA crowned its national champions. B-Girl Logistx and B-Boy Hijack rose above fierce competition to claim their spots representing the United States at the prestigious Red Bull BC One World Final in Tokyo this November.

The culmination of regional cyphers in Minneapolis and New York, the national finals brought together the top 16 B-Boys and 16 B-Girls from across the country—including Olympians and returning champs—to battle it out for glory. Judged by breaking legends B-Boy Taisuke, B-Girl Beta, and OG B-Boy Ken Swift of the Rock Steady Crew, the event celebrated creativity, musicality, and pure flow.

Logistx, a Filipina breaker originally from Chula Vista, CA, and the 2021 Red Bull BC One World Champion, dominated the B-Girl bracket with precision and grace. Now based in Florida, she reflected on the emotional journey to the win:

“I feel proud of myself for navigating life while training for this battle… I have to win in Tokyo.”

Hijack, a Honolulu native and two-time U.S. champion, impressed with his dynamic movement and unique flair:

“It’s not just about signature moves – it’s about signature style. I can’t wait to represent USA, but most importantly, represent Hawaii.”

The celebration extended beyond the main battles. Red Bull BC One Camp USA took over Denver with immersive workshops, battles, and exhibitions. Highlights included:

  • Break Fighter: a groundbreaking 2v2 format blending breaking and gaming in collaboration with Street Fighter.
  • Salt Break City: an all-female battle fusing B-Girls with street-style dancers in an explosive mix of styles.

The evening also featured DJ Fleg spinning high-energy beats and a surprise performance by hip-hop heavyweight Ab-Soul, adding to the electrifying vibe.

As Red Bull BC One continues to champion the global breaking community, all eyes now turn to Tokyo for the 22nd annual World Final on November 9, 2025. In addition to the battles and entertainment, the event served as a powerful reminder of breaking’s cultural roots and its path to the global stage. With breakdancing set to return as an Olympic sport in Paris 2028, events like Red Bull BC One are more important than ever in elevating the voices and talents within the community.

From seasoned pros to rising stars, the weekend fostered mentorship, collaboration, and a renewed sense of pride in hip-hop’s foundational art form. For fans and dancers alike, the Denver Cypher wasn’t just about winning—it was about honoring the legacy and pushing the boundaries of what breaking can be.
