Tory Lanez’s recent prison stabbing continues to draw media attention as new details emerge surrounding the incident. In a new interview with VladTV, music executive Wack 100 offered an inside take on what allegedly led to the violent altercation inside a Central California prison. According to Wack, the stabbing stemmed from an inmate’s girlfriend allegedly “flirting” with Lanez over the phone.
Wack claims that Lanez tried to warn the inmate, a lifer, about the girlfriend’s behavior. Still, the situation spiraled when the woman may have flipped the narrative, accusing the incarcerated rapper of making advances. This miscommunication, Wack suggests, sparked the inmate’s rage and ultimately led to Lanez being stabbed 14 times during the altercation.
A video of the incident surfaced on social media last week, showing a bloodied Lanez walking away from the scene. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. During his hospitalization, reports indicate that both of his lungs collapsed as a result of his injuries.
Wack 100 has been one of Lanez’s most vocal supporters throughout his legal battles and incarceration. He’s consistently used his platform, from social media to Clubhouse, to call the trial’s outcome into question, criticize the evidence, and argue that the Canadian artist was unfairly convicted in connection with the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
Beyond just vocal support, Wack has promised to stand by Lanez during his 10-year sentence and even hinted at business ventures aimed at maintaining Tory’s musical presence while behind bars. His advocacy has even drawn political attention, as one congressman has reportedly joined efforts calling for Lanez’s release.
