André 3000, Steve Nash, Ray J & More Join Keith Lee at Complex’s First-Ever Family Style Food Festival in NYC

On Saturday, May 17, I had the absolute best time at Complex’s first-ever Family Style Food Festival in New York City—and trust me, the vibes were just as mouthwatering as the food. Set against the industrial-chic backdrop of Industry City in Brooklyn, the event brought together over 10,000 foodies, creatives, and style-heads for an unforgettable day of flavor and fashion.

Hosted by viral food critic Keith Lee, the sold-out festival was a true love letter to New York’s food scene and cultural energy. From the moment I stepped in, you could feel the buzz—everyone came to eatconnect, and celebrate.

One of the major highlights? Seeing André 3000 casually walking through the crowd, vibing with vendors and even linking with Eric André. Iconic. I also spotted Steve Nash soaking up the atmosphere, and the VIP section was lit with celebs like Ray JIsan Elba, and Maria Isabel. NYC legends like Angelo BaqueVa$htieBloody Osiris, and Jazzy’s World TV were out too—snapping photos with Keith and showing love.

But let’s talk about the food—because wow. One of my personal favorites was the “Margs & Margs” collab by Casamigos x Johnny’s Pizza. Imagine sipping on a perfectly chilled Casamigos margarita—fresh lime, orange juice, agave—while biting into a hot Margherita pizza. Heavenly. The pop-up also had limited-edition merch like cocktail shakers and trucker hats that had everyone lined up.

Every booth, every plate, every corner of this festival felt curated and cool. Complex and Family Style didn’t just throw an event—they started a movement. If this was the debut, I can’t wait to see what next year brings.

One thing’s for sure—NYC was hungry for this. And we devoured it.
