BET has announced that entertainment legends Mariah Carey, Jamie Foxx, Kirk Franklin, and Snoop Dogg will each be honored with the prestigious BET Ultimate Icon Award during the 2025 BET Awards. Set to air live on Monday, June 9 at 8 PM ET/PT, the show will be hosted by comedian Kevin Hart and celebrate these trailblazing artists’ transformative contributions to music, entertainment, and culture.
Mariah Carey, the best-selling female artist of all time, is being recognized for her decades-long influence on pop and R&B. Jamie Foxx, a multi-hyphenate talent with accolades spanning film, music, and television, will be honored for his wide-ranging impact. Gospel powerhouse Kirk Franklin, a 20-time GRAMMY winner, is being celebrated for reshaping the sound and visibility of gospel music. Snoop Dogg, the iconic rapper and entrepreneur, will be recognized for his unmatched cultural influence and decades of success.
The 2025 BET Awards will also feature performances by Lil Wayne, Teyana Taylor, GloRilla, Playboi Carti, and Leon Thomas. Kendrick Lamar leads nominations with ten, followed by Doechii, Drake, Future, and GloRilla with six each.
The show will also include a special tribute to the 25th anniversary of 106 & Park, with a reunion of past hosts and performances by Bow Wow, Mya, B2K, and more.
